Stoned.

As one would look into Medusa hideous, raged eyes they would turn into stone. It didn't matter if you were young or old, male or female. She was feared by many people because of this effect she had on people. She was like a car crash, you just couldn't help but stare.

That Hair.

The way she became the most hideous creature was from being very curious of light. Being that she was from the darkest of places, she had never experienced the warm feeling of light on her skin. She requested from Goddess Athena to see the light. Athena denied her permission. Medusa was angered by not being allowed to visit the light, in her rage she accused Athena of being jealous of her beauty. Athena then punished Medusa by making her very, very ugly. The punishment given was hair of snakes, extreme ugliness, and if one was to look into her eyes they would turn stone.

The Beginning.

Medusa was said to be very pretty in the beginning of her time. She was the daughter of Phorkys and Keto, who were the children of Gaia and Okeanos (Earth amd Ocean). Medusa lived in the darkest of places in the far, far north.
